The new update MIUI 9.6.2.0 which is claimed to be stable by the developers is in much controversy because every RedmiNote4 User is receiving a different experience from the very same update rolled out to every (probably) user
So here's my detailed review for the new update for MIUI9.6.2.0
Let's Go!
1. Battery Life
Yes the 'battery life' and 'charging Speed' is the major reason this update is being termed as worst or good
So first of all here are some screenshots
Youre probably thinking that I'm light phone user
But I use decent amount of YouTube, Chrome, PUBG, Hike, WhatsApp and what not.
For people facing slow charging issue
A temporary (might not even work) solution:
• Try changing the wire you use for charging, keeping the adapter same.
I don't know the math here, but shockingly it worked well for me!
You should try it as well.
2. System Performance
Pretty much the same as before, no lag or force closes observed.
Everything app works smoothly except for heavy games (Ofcourse)
3. Camera Quality
Not a significant change, its pretty much same, working good :)
4. Heating Issues
No usual heating at all!
It's impressive.
Phone doesn't heat while charging just mildly warms up.
While gaming it does heat though, which one doesn't?
During casual phone use like for browsing or chatting or YouTub-ing the phone very rarely heats up.
5. Networking Issues
No network issues, Jio Sim is capable of providing upto 7MBps (YES!)
At my location and the phone can handle it very well. Your network issues might just be due to some other fault or network locality issues.
